Frequently Asked Questions

I heard Ontario has its own government-run site. Is it any good?

It launched in early and while it's a great start, we found that a lot of the offerings are a bit lacking. Game selection tends to be unimpressive, and so are promotions and bonuses. If you're not familiar with Ontario online casinos and you only check out the government-run site, you won't be too disappointed. But when you familiarize yourself with the other Ontario online casinos (like the ones we've reviewed) it's clear which ones reign supreme.

Will my credit card work when depositing?

Definitely. We've tested credit cards from various Canadian banks with branches right here in Ontario to make sure they work great. The sites we recommend have high transaction success rates for credit card deposits.

What about bank transfers?

They work great too. Many of the Ontario internet casinos on our list accept eChecks, Instadebit, and other direct bank transfer options.

Do I have to be in the province to play at an Ontario casino?

No. When you create your account, you'll need to let the site know where you live so that they can process payouts correctly. But you don't need to be in the province to play at the Ontario online casinos we recommend on this page. There is some confusion because the official government-run Ontario online casino only accepts residents who live in the province. But the sites we recommend, which are licensed internationally, let you play from most countries, which is great news if you're travelling.

What are the benefits of the sites you recommend vs. the government casino?

Jackpots are a big deal when you play online and the casinos that you see here deliver big ones. Remember, when you play at an Ontario online casino that we recommend, you're likely feeding the same progressive jackpots that other players around the world are feeding.

Does it cost anything to play at an online Ontario casino?

Definitely not. Every site we recommend lets you create a free account. In fact, you can even test the waters and see if you like a casino before playing for real money. All you need to do is use the links in our reviews to set yourself up with that free account.

Does it cost anything to play at an online Ontario casino?

Don't just play at any old casino that you find online to stay safe. You should only use recommended locations and reputable sites with security seals and reviews that back them up. Research any site before you play and staying safe will be simple.

Where can I find a list of the Best Casinos in Ontario, Canada?

You've come to the right page. We have put together a guide for you so you know where to go to play your favorite games.

Is it Better to Play at an Online or Offline Casino?

It really depends on what you'd like from your gambling experience. If you'd like to play from the comfort of your own home or on the bus, you need to sign up with an online casino. If, however, you're looking to get the whole sensory experience with the shiny lights and the heightened tension in the air, head to one of our recommended land based casinos.
